New Photos about to come out! By Katy Pritchett. Hair & Makeup by Angel Styling by Love or Money
Being a model and a girl… i’ve been forced to learn some basic make-up skills. Luckily Pinterest and You Tube exist to help :)
Some of my favorite products for a natural look- great for castings are:
Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted moisturizer
If you have very oily skin you may prefer the “Normal Skin” one. I personally like the illuminating one because it adds a natural glow.
Bare Minerals Powder
Some people tell me they don’t dig this powder after using it for a month or so but I love it. If you have the correct brushes you can better control over the application. I usually do a light application but it’s very build-able and hides imperfections easily.
Sephora Eyebrow Pencil
I’ve experimented with ALOT of different pencils and this one so far has been my favorite. A make-up artist from New York recommended it to me.
Nude/Natural Pink Lip Liner
Any brand you like works.. I like to fill in the entire lip to make it look nice and full. I found some tips on Pinterest on how to make your lips pop more with the use of a lighter pink. I sometimes use concealer or a highlighter just around the bow of the top lip and the center underneath the bottom lip.
MAC or NARS Blush
These two brands have nice pigment and natural color. They stay all day :)
Two Faced Bronzer
I’m still on the hunt for my ALL TIME favorite bronzer, i try something new every time I need a new bronzer. I really like the color I get from the Two Faced line.
Maybeline & Covergirl Mascara
Cheap and very effective
Rosebud Salve Lip Balm
This stuff works wonders
That’s really all you need for natural look, if you want a little extra, use your bronzer as eyeshadow and smudge a little under your eye with a blending brush to give a look of eyeliner. Dusting some bronzer on sides of your nose and under the sides of your jawline will also give some definition.
A little sneak peak at a behind the scenes video by C&I studios that was shot last night at my shoot with Joey Wright. Keep your eyes out for the final video and photos.
About a year ago I was inspired to start looking into nutrition and getting my body to a super healthy state. It’s been a long road and I’m still learning new things everyday but I can’t help but want to start sharing my discoveries, battles, tips and recipes.
People are always asking me what I do for my workout and if I eat whatever I want or if I follow a strict diet. The answer is a little bit of both but I’ve taken it one step at a time. Our bodies are amazing and can handle a lot of abuse but imagine how you would look if your body didn’t have to work so hard on breaking down all the processed foods and bulky meat we eat. I truly believe most diseases are brought on or become present from too much abuse to our bodies from unhealthy eating habits. Other problems we face are weight issues, digestive problems, and acne just to name a few. I’ve started following a diet that consists of barely any pre-packaged foods, nothing you cook in the microwave or eat out of a can and foods that are easy to digest. I’ve noticed now that I don’t HAVE to work out to look lean and adding a lite workout such as walking, yoga or pilates tones by body much easier. All of our bodies require slightly different nutrition and physical activity but what is true for all of us is that truly a healthy body comes from a healthy lifestyle and diet filled with a good amount of raw foods and a balanced diet that is as natural as it can be.
The real key to getting your body to a healthy state is to work at it one step at a time. Start eliminating things one by one that you know are not healthy and replace them with a healthy substitute. Most yummy things have a substitute that isn’t harmful to you. You will start to notice having more energy and staying full longer.
It’s fun to start challenging yourself to give up more and more and find new ways to make things. Not to mention, it’s fun not having to spend as much time getting ready in the morning because of skin imperfections and trying to hide too many parts of your body.
